Additional Fabrication Info
- Specifications pertaining to logo plate fabrication vary from State to State or Province to Province.
- Requirements differ in size such as signs ranging from 60" x 36" and 48" x 36" for the
large mainline signs, and ramp signs from the common sizes 30" x 18" and 24" x 18", to
as small as 12" x 10".
- The thickness of the plate, aluminum alloy, diameter of holes, and radius of material can
also differ from State to State or Province to Province.
- Interstate Logos has on file the specifications for each State and Province that has a logo signing program.
- The signs are fabricated from either 5053H38 or 6061T6 treated aluminum.
- The aluminum is first sheeted with 3M High Intensity Sheeting, or Diamond Grade, where
allowed, before the standard highway inks are screened.

Creative design assistance is available at no charge to customers who wish to change their design
or create a new design. The artist can also help with specifications as to what is acceptable by
the State or Province for the business’s particular logo.

The signs can be shipped several ways. For small quantity jobs, Interstate Graphics utilizes
United Parcel Service (UPS). When timing is critical, the signs are packaged in such a manner
to be shipped Federal Express or Next Day UPS. For large quantity shipments, a common carrier
is contracted and shipment is normally received by the customer in 3 to 5 working days after
production is complete.
